Babylights & Teasy-Lights

Today, Londyn Ashley Hair Studio had an in-salon Paul Mitchell education class on dimensional foiling in which we reviewed techniques known as Babylights & Teasy-Lights.

Babylights are delicate highlights created using a very fine hair color technique to mimic the subtle, dimensional hair color seen on children’s hair. The result is subtle but beautiful.

Teasy-lights is an amazing technique that adds subtle, lighter pieces to your hair by lightening the mid-shaft to the ends of your hair…very similar to the ombré but not all of the hair is lightened on the ends, just some. It’s a great way to break up all of the darker, richer fall colors and add a little splash of summer back into your hair.

The result of adding them together into a highlighting pattern is a gorgeous blend of natural looking lighter locks.
